Better yet what you need to understand is that our bodies are designed for rocket fuel and most people are consistently adding sugar into their gas tanks (take notice of the damage done to both a gas engine and the human body from the effects of sugar). The repetitive process of poor fuel causes us to age faster, lose muscle, grow cancer, become diabetic and the list goes on and on.
